The Wilde -
A name used to be something you fulfilled. It was a legacy you proudly carried bearing the wars and triumphs of your ancestors. It held meaning. For The Wilde their name does. Raised in the twin states, their large families are their faith and fortitude. The warmth, strength, hope, and calloused hands that embody their music paint the wars and triumphs that life embodies. These scars allow their words to drip truth, and their music, an open chasm that makes you feel you are in an open space where you can see and hear things for what they really are. Strength is beauty, and resilience a journey. The Wilde’s sincerity and simplicity will take you there. You will feel what is intangible, and most of all you will grasp that life is best held by worn hands. Her warm delicate tone and His whiskey soaked vocals create a sound that burns to your inner core leaving an impression you will both taste and feel even when it’s over.
War Jacket -
War Jacket makes ambient and esoteric folk compositions relevant and hummable as evidenced by their brilliant debut EP “Leaflet No. 1” and their contribution to and efforts organizing “The Wind Will Carry the Voice of the People”, a charity compilation benefiting victims of the Alabama tornadoes. The first War Jacket LP was release in September of 2011, it is entitled “Live Like You’re Going Home”. War Jacket is currently in the studio record their followup LP.
